How to handle 'Not Marketed' records

Hi, 

While doing a bulk upload, there is no option for 'Initial placing on the market' option. I understand how this works for 'Marketed' records (Marketing status change date will be initial marketing place date).
But for 'Not Marketed' records, Initial placing on the market will be null, what is the correct way to update the 'Initial placing on the market' information for 'Not Marketed', should we do this record-by-record post bulk upload?
